DHET

The Department of Higher Education and Training develops educated and accomplished citizens who can participate in a sustainable, diversified and knowledge-intensive international economy.

SAQA

The South African Qualification Authority deals with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). In this capacity they advance the objectives of the NQF; oversee the development and implementation of the NQF; and co-ordinate the Sub-frameworks.

Council on Higher Education

The Council of Higher Education serves to develop and implement a system of quality assurance for Higher Education in South Africa.

In this capacity they are responsible for conducting audits of the quality assurance systems of Higher Education Institutions. They’re also responsible for the accreditation of new programmes submitted by Private Higher Education institutions.
