This Music Business (The Music Industry) course is designed to impart the necessary theoretical knowledge to understand and operate legally and successfully within the South African Music industry. The covers and explains the music industry companies and major role players including different types of music, marketing and branding as well as financial and management aspects.
This course can be taken as a credit-bearing module towards one of the qualification courses we present in Music Technology (refer to the entry requirements of the particular course)
Existing knowledge and experience or working on any music DAW is required.
Should you whish to enroll into the course as a credit-bearding module for one of the qualification courses in Music Technology you need to present the neccessary entry requirements as required by the particular course.
This course allows a limited number of students per intake to secure maximum contact with the students. Class presentation takes the form of theoretical lectures, demonstrations, discussion groups and practical assignments.
All prescribed textbooks, course manuals and additional course material are not included in the price of the course. All other course notes and material is included.
No music or other software is used during the course.
Everything you need to successfully complete the course is provided for on Campus during your sessions.
All enrolled students can book and use the College's fully equipped computer facilities to do their research and to complete their practical projects during the course.
