Course Content

Week 1
There certainly are a lot of game engines out there and it can be overwhelming to choose one to specialise in. Get an overview of Game Development and Game Engines. Understand what you can create within Unity and an introduction to Unity 3D.
Week 2
Unity Playground is a framework to create 2D and it is perfect for making games in Unity without coding. In the first week you will get an introduction to Unity Playground to work with 2D Colliders and Rigidbody Components.
Week 3
In week 3, you will be able to let your imagination come to life by creating more 2D games using Unity Playground like a maze game and a simple adventure game.
Week 4
Explore the Unity 2D Game Kit, a collection of assets, tools, and systems that let you easily build advanced 2D games. You will be able to create a 2D platformer game and to place hazards and enemies in scenes.
Week 5
In week 5, you will be able to create 3D Game Objects. Adding a Rigidbody component to an object will put its motion under the control of Unity's physics engine. Even without adding any code, a Rigidbody object will be pulled downward by gravity and will react to collisions with incoming objects if the right Collider component is also present. This technique will alow you to create basic and challenging Puzzle Levels.
Week 6
Can you imagine playing a game without any sound effects or background music? Boring right, get to know how audio makes game design powerful. You will create and edit materials to create the perfect audio for your game.
Week 7
ProBuilder is a unique hybrid of 3D modeling and level design tools. It is a Unity in-editor prototyping tool that has everything you need to block out your level and create new game worlds in the blink of an eye.
Week 8
Creating a 3D game project - Introduction to the 3D Game Kit - Adding the Player to your game.

Knowing how to work with 3D game objects, you will now go beyond the ground work to add the player to your game through adding enemies to the level and by creating respawn checkpoints.
Week 10
Get the skills to restore health to the player and create awesome scene transitions.
Week 11
Get the skills to simulate moving liquids, smoke, clouds, flames, magic spells, and a whole slew of other effects with the Particle System in Unity.
Week 12
Finally, turn your game into. aplace where people can spend hours getting lost in through building a 2D and 3D game level using the provided assets.
